GreenLight HPS 120-W laser PVP is as effective as TURP in symptom reduction and improvement of Quality of Life at 2 yr. No differences are seen in the response of storage and voiding symptoms. Complication rate is the same for both procedures. Laser PVP results in shorter length of stay and less postoperative catheter time. Ejaculation is better preserved by PVP.
